Blast from the past...

My mom found an old picture album in the closet today and she found lots of old pictures from when she first met my dad! This picture was taken on the balcony of my mom's apartment in Huntington Beach circa 1973. Both my mom and dad were students at Goldenwest College at the time. The pup my dad is holding is Fuschia the Wonder Dog... Fuschia has a prominent place in our family history as being the goofiest dog ever... (yes, even goofier than me if you can believe that!) The very first time my mom met my dad... Fuschia sat in front of my mom and smiled. It wasn't just a doggy grin - it was a big smile will all of her teeth showing! My mom thought she was hallucinating at first but my dad assured her that she wasn't imagining things. It was just one of Fuschia's many quirks and my mom was excited to see lots of Fuschia pictures in the photo album too. I have a feeling my mom will be posting many more of these ancient photos on my blog soon. Stay tuned!
