OK, so we're not exactly the Welcome Wagon...

When my dad came home for lunch yesterday he was soooo happy! My mom asked him what he was so excited about and he told her that there's a FOR SALE sign in our neighbor's yard! I know the sign is a little obscured in this photo but my mom was trying to take the picture without looking too obvious about it. There were several real estate agents milling around in front of the house this morning... my mom wanted to go out in the front yard and cheer them on "SELL THAT HOUSE! SELL THAT HOUSE!" but she thought that might be a little over the top even for her.

Now for the most part we LIKE the majority of our neighbors. (Hey, don't get me started on the psycho German Shepherd that lives across the street... grrr!) But this particular neighbor is the neighbor from you-know-where. One day he decided to spray some type of sealant on his fence without notifying us first so we could move our cars out of the driveway. He ended up getting the sealant all over my dad's trailer and it almost got all over me and Taz while we were in the backyard. Luckily my mom hustled us inside before we could breathe the noxious fumes! Taz and I would have looked like this if we had stayed outside...

There was another time when the neighbor showed up on our front deck early in the morning on a weekend. My mom was out on the deck filling up the bird feeders and when she turned around to go back inside of the house Mr. Weirdo was standing behind her dressed in raggedy sweatpants, a bathrobe, and he had some type of a gas mask thing on his face. My mom nearly jumped out of her skin and his response to her was "oh, did I scare you?" Moron. So now you know why my dad and mom are so happy to see the FOR SALE sign in front of his house. My mom was a little concerned that someone WORSE might buy the house but my dad said that couldn't happen... who could possibly be worse than the neighbor who lives there now? Then they looked at each other and started laughing hysterically. Well, one thing's for sure... my folks will be doing the big time Happy Dance when they see a SOLD sign in front of the neighbor's house! Yahoo!

I know... the guy is probably asking top dollar for his house. Still though, as long as that FOR SALE sign is in his front yard we have hope!!
